Gail L. Barnett joined the firm in late 2005 and practices in Social Security Disability. She received her B.A. from Drake University in 1987 with a double major of Psychology and Political Science. In May 2003, she graduated from Drake Law School with high honors. She was the recipient of the Drake Law School Ferguson Prize for her dedication to public service work.

Ms. Barnett is a former senior staff attorney for Legal Aid Society of Story County, where her practice emphasized landlord-tenant litigation, general family law, consumer protection, and Social Security Disability. She also has experience as a social worker specializing in mental health and elder issues. She is a member of the Iowa Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). Ms. Barnett currently serves on the Board of Beacon of Life.
